I started buying groceries and veggies online when I was stuck at home after my son was born. I can not imagine my life for those few months without online shopping websites. Now I am addicted to it and only buy it in local market when I dont get anything online. I recommend online grocery shopping for many reasons but it has pro and cons.

Pros:  

  1. A big time saver!!! For people with six days a week job this is a blessing.
  2. No need to get out of your house.
  3. You save money by applying coupon codes as well as discount offered by website.
  4. You save transportation cost, online store apply shipping charges but in most of the cases they are less than half of your transportation cost.
  5. On shopping above certain amount shipping charges are waived off.
  6. Vegetable's cost is either competent to retail market or sometime even less.
  7. Very useful for old age people or people who have difficulty walking with heavy grocery bags.
  8. Good for shopaholics! You only order what you need.We all pick much unnecessary stuff when we go to supermarket.
  9. In case of any mismatch in amount cashback is credited to your account.
  10. Cash on delivery available.
  11. Cashback can be availed by paying through online wallets like paytm,  mobikwik, citrus etc.

Cons: 

  1. Surprises are part of online shopping.
  2. It is for people who like to experiment.
  3. Veggie shopping is limited because some stuff you can only buy after judging its goodness e.g. ladyfinger, banana, brinjol etc. 
  4. It takes time. Some store deliver it same day some do it next day but minimum 3 hour wait is there.
  5. Sometimes what you order gets booked but still not available with them, stores offer exchange of product but still no one likes it.
  6.  Delivery does not happen at scheduled time.

But order it taken by only selected reliancefreshdirect stores e. g. if you are ordering from kandiwali you may get order shipped from very far like sion or chunabhatti,you can not choose area in it.

ZopNow is India's largest technology platform for online groceries, currently in partnership with trusted hypermarkets like HyperCITY and More. It is available for PC as well as mobile users. Its hoghlight is same day delivery (within 3 hours). Very reasonable price.

5. amazon.in

Latest online supermarket has recently started amazon kirana in selected cities with same day delivery feature but app is available only for android. Soon will come for other OS also. Since Amazon is know for timely delivery and prompt service it can capture this market soon.
